Raccoon River Bible Camp is located 1 3/4 hours northwest of Des Moines or 1 hour west of Ames. It is four miles north of Highway 30 and one mile east of N58 (also labeled “Apple” and “A” Ave.) on 177th St. and is between Carroll and Jefferson. There is a green information sign on Highway 30 and several other signs located at important corners on the “back” roads to direct drivers to our camp. Above is a map showing the main roads that lead to the camp from all directions. If you need directions as you are driving to camp, give us a call at (712) 667-3916.

Directions from the northwest: Take Highway 71 south. Turn off of Hwy 71 onto Hwy. 175, going east. Go east for 10 miles, then turn right onto N47. Go south for 7 miles, turn left onto E19 (stay on pavement). Go east on E19 to Zephyr Ave (gravel). Go south on Zephyr to 140th St. Go east on 140th St. to A or Apple Ave. Take A (Apple Ave.) south to 177th St. Turn left onto 177th St. for one mile (keep left). You will see the camp.

Directions from the northeast: Travel south to Hwy. 175. Take Hwy 175 to N65. Travel south on N65 for 8 miles to 150th St. Take 150th Street west to Brentwood. Take Brentwood south (and a little west) to B Ave. Take B Ave. south to RRBC.

Directions from the east, west, or south: Travel to Hwy. 30. Take Hwy. 30 to N58 (also called A or Apple Ave.). Take N58 north for 4 miles, across the river and up a hill to 177th St. Turn right (east) onto 177th St. Go one mile (keep left) to the camp. Look for the carved raccoons!
